A: The CCIQ ecoBiz program is completely free. Any ecoBiz recommendations you put into action within your workplace may cost you money – but how much it costs and when you decide to spend that money is entirely up to you.
A: Once you've registered, you are required to complete a survey to capture the details of your business, and expectations from the program. 12 months of your utility bill data is also required to guide your coaching session and provide a benchmark for your costs and resource use.
All up, the ecoBiz program is designed to be finished within 12 month, however implementing the action plan is an individual journey, and time and resource commitments can vary based on your sustainability goals.
A: No – the program is open to all Queensland businesses. Businesses must have 5 (full time equivalent) employees or more to be eligible for a coaching session, however we have a 'do it yourself' toolkit here and our other resources available here.
A: All businesses, big and small, that participate in ecoBiz walk away with solid strategies to reduce costs. How much you save is up to you and the action plan you implement.
On average, businesses that participate in the ecoBiz program save:

A: ecoBiz has been running in Queensland for more than a decade. Right now, around 400 businesses are participating, from small cafes and offices through to large manufacturing and processing facilities.
A: No. You can choose to just monitor the resources you’re concerned about in your business. However, we've discovered from our work with thousands of Queensland businesses that the best savings – including better business-wide efficiency – come from addressing power, water and waste costs at the same time.
A: Your business is eligible for a 10% ERA fee reduction, when at least 10% reduction is attained in either energy, water or waste. However, all three must be monitored to be eligible for the reduction.
A: The ecoBiz tools are simple to use, and the program is easy to finish. A free site visit and coaching session with an ecoBiz coach will help you identify areas you can improve around your business.

A: Yes, provided your business is currently complying with environmental legislation.
A: By recording the reductions, you may qualify for automatic recognition as an ecoBiz Star Partner. Then, by participating in the ecoBiz program you can identify other opportunities to reduce your resource use or waste.
A: Once you’ve achieved at least a 10% reduction in energy water and/or waste:
A: Your accreditation remains, as long as you continue to submit your data for reassessment every 12 months while maintaining or reduce your resource use.
